So August has arrived & still no postings yet of the June trip… so what have I been doing?
Well, in the background, I’ve been getting the words sorted ready to post and the same with the photographs… but what’s also taken time out is that I returned to Normandy in July & met (among others) the son of the bakers that used to own where Barrie & Stuart now live during the war and who recalled seeing some of the men that were held in the shed.
What’s more, I’m now preparing for my third trip this year as I travel over again to take part in the celebrations of the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the village of St Vigor. As part of this, in the afternoon, I’m delivering my talk that tells the tale of the men & my research project to find out about them.
Once I’m back from there, there will be a mass update of stuff!
